Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. The Manager Performance Management manages performance management analysis and reporting functions across Commercial Management and facilitates contract administration forecasting risks across the Corporate and Payments Business Units. Part of a centralized team intended to provide the best practices across the organization about Invoice Payments and Reporting.
What will I be doing
- Leads a team of commercial management administration staff including Senior Finance & Contract Officers and Commercial Coordinators in a single workgroup performing related tasks and meeting stakeholder obligations and deliverables.
- Manages the closeout phase of projects reclassification and requisition requirements to ensure reliable project data and invoices are paid promptly.
- Recommends and leads continuous improvement efforts while implementing tools and strategies such as endtoend documentation establishing RASCIs implementing standardized templates and creating Job Aids.
- Leads new hire training and existing staff development efforts.
- Subject Matter Expert in Unifier and Oracle ERP providing oversight and ensuring the Commercial Position is captured and prioritized.
- Leverages existing technologies and support the rollout of new tools and applications to create opportunities for automation including leveraging Power BI Power Query and other existing platforms to improve efficiencies.
- Supports the development deployment and management of performance management and analysis reporting using data analysis trends forecasting and tools/applications to enable timely and informed business decisions that facilitate operational planning improve support to stakeholders control or reduce costs increase Corporate/Payments performance and/or identify new business opportunities.
- Formulates plans processes and/or policies to develop and progress critical business intelligence and analytics to support the longterm and broader business strategic direction and planning.
- Supports monitors and reports on key performance indicators by Metrolinx Strategic Plan and contractual requirements identifies overarching trends and patterns within performance metrics and indicates potential and actual impacts to Corporate/Payments broad functions. Identifies trends and problem areas and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
- Manages and continually improves regular reporting of performance indicators including quarterly reviews value chain reports and contract performance; leads data analysis and the development of information and queries for internal and external stakeholders
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree in Business Administration Statistics Finance or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated progressively responsible experience in leading performance management and reporting activities business intelligence statistical analysis preferably within a transit environment and/or the public sector.
- Knowledge of the Invoice Lifecycle from beginning to end.
- Knowledge of performance management and evaluation and data analytics methods strategies and best practices to lead performance management analysis and reporting functions across bus and rail and establish monitor and report on key performance indicators identify trends and patterns within performance metrics and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Metrolinx and the provincial and national transit industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of financial planning budget development and management processes to manage the facilitation of contract administration budgetary and financial planning across Corporate/Payments; conduct consolidated financial and contract analysis.
- Knowledge of vendor management methods techniques and best practices to manage contracts and the development and delivery of externally provided products and services.
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS. & Unifier.
- Working knowledge of Power BI application.
- Problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Organization and time management skills to develop plans set priorities schedule and manage projects and deliverables.
- Interpersonal oral/written/presentation skills to communicate with technical and business audiences
