We are looking for an Embedded Software Development engineer to build and own firmware for AWS Data Centers hardware. As an embedded software development engineer in this team you will work with a team of worldclass software developers who thrive on creating innovative scalable solutions for realworld data center infrastructure problems. You will be part of development efforts to build validate and support firmware in diverse technology domains from embedded software to largescale distributed software systems.

Key job responsibilities
As an Embedded Software Engineer at AWS you will play a crucial role in designing and developing firmware for our nextgeneration data center hardware. Youll work closely with both hardware and software teams ensuring seamless integration of firmware with other AWS systems. Your responsibilities will extend beyond the development phase as youll actively support the deployment and operation of the software youve created in AWS data centers worldwide. This handson involvement will give you invaluable insights into realworld performance and operational challenges enabling you to continuously refine and optimize your firmware solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability efficiency and scalability of AWS services impacting millions of customers globally.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience in embedded development in C/C

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Knowledge of ARM CPUs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
