Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detailoriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications providing drugrelated information to healthcare professionals and patients and ensuring safe and effective medication use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness

  • Dispense prescription medications and verify dosage instructions and interactions

  • Counsel patients on medication use side effects and storage

  • Provide recommendations to prescribers on drug selection and therapy options

  • Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy and safety

  • Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed

  • Ensure compliance with all state federal and organizational regulations

  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff

  • Participate in quality assurance inventory control and audits

  • Stay current with new drug therapies and industry best practices

Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution

  • Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in State

  • Certification in immunization delivery (if applicable)

  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and EHR systems

  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions pharmacology and regulatory requirements

Preferred Skills:
  • Must have a minimum 1 year of medical experience

  • Must have active and unencumbered licenses in their state of licensure in order to work in the operation as a medical provider with their defined skill set

  • Medical personnel will be responsible for assisting patients with access and information related to their prescription medications medication management and administering vaccinations

  • Excellent communication and counseling skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment

Work Environment:
  • Retail Hospital Pharmacy LongTerm Care Facility Outpatient Clinic
