join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Description:
As a Drafter/Designer at Riggins you will play a key role in transforming customer concepts and requirements into
detailed designs for manufacturing. Your expertise in drafting and design will be essential in ensuring our projects
are executed accurately and efficiently from initial concepts to finalized technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of custom designs.
Assist in product development from concept to completion.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety quality and industry standards.
Collaborate with engineers and clients to refine design specifications and ensure the product meets both
functional and costefficient construction requirements.
Review and modify designs as necessary based on feedback.
Produce accurate technical drawings and models of individual parts for manufacturing processes.
Maintain organized documentation and design records.
Troubleshoot design issues and provide innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a drafter/designer preferably in a custom design or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).
Strong knowledge of design principles materials and manufacturing processes.
Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to produce 1st time quality designs and drawings.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients engineers and production teams.
Desired Qualifications:
A degree or certification in Drafting Design or a related field.
3 5 years minimum relevant experience.
Understanding of GD and amp;T.
Experience in Microsoft Office products Excel Word PowerPoint and TEAMS.
Experience in lofting.
Experience in developing 2D cutting files for CNC metal cutting purposes.
Experience in heavy structural steel welded designs.
Experience in CVN and Submarine structural design and drafting.
Experience in ASME Code heat exchanger and pressure vessel design.
