Job Description

Commis Chef Luxury Hotel George
Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Commis Chef for a luxury hotel in George. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate culinary professional looking to grow within a highend hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food in line with assigned kitchen sections specific menus portion sizes and cost standards

  • Ensure consistency in presentation and quality of food served

  • Care for all operating equipment including cleaning repairs and proper storage

  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations cleanliness recycling pest control and waste management standards

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Minimum of 6 months formal chef training

  • At least 1 year of experience as a pastry chef with a focus on bakery production

  • Experience in a 4star or 5star kitchen environment will be advantageous

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment

  • Physically fit and able to lift and handle large kitchen equipment and food produce

  • Creative detailoriented and passionate about culinary excellence

  • Willing to work weekends public holidays and flexible shifts as required

  • Must have own accommodation in George or nearby areas
