Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now searching for a Head Chef for a renowned luxury private game lodge situated in KwaZuluNatal. This is a livein role ideal for a passionate handson culinary professional who thrives in a creative closeknit and guestfocused environment.
Package Includes:
Livein accommodation
3 meals per day
Uniform and laundry service
Transport to the gate
Monthly tips (approximately R3000
Supportive familystyle working environment
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement innovative seasonal menus
Prepare meals from scratch with fresh highquality ingredients
Ensure food presentation and taste meet the lodges high standards
Cater to a wide range of dietary requirements (glutenfree vegan etc.
Work handson in the kitchen supporting and leading the team through daily services
Maintain hygiene and safety standards across all kitchen operations
Oversee food costing stock takes and stock control
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a lodge or fine dining environment
Exceptional creativity and a passion for cooking
Willingness to be handson and lead by example in a small collaborative team
Knowledge or willingness to learn about dietaryspecific cooking
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of stock management and kitchen hygiene principles
Valid driver s license is an advantage
Positive teamoriented attitude with a willingness to share knowledge
