Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the emerging cannabis retail industry as a Digital Marketing Specialist where you ll create and manage digital marketing content for multiple cannabis dispensaries. You ll be responsible for developing and maintaining their online presence through websites social media and instore marketing materials. This role offers unique exposure to multiple brands and the chance to shape the digital presence of new retail locations in a rapidly growing industry. You ll work directly with retail operators to create engaging content that drives foot traffic and online engagement while maintaining brand consistency across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages for cannabis retailers
- Create engaging social media content and manage Instagram accounts for multiple brands
- Develop eyecatching marketing materials using Canva for both digital and instore use
- Write and publish SEOoptimized blog content to drive organic traffic
- Design cohesive brand materials including digital assets and instore signage
- Execute monthly content calendars for multiple clients
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align marketing initiatives with business goals
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels
- Track and report on basic marketing metrics
- Collaborate with store managers to create promotional materials for special events
Requirements
- Proven experience with WordPress Canva and Instagram
- Strong eye for design and ability to maintain consistent brand aesthetics
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and content optimization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience creating marketing materials for retail businesses (cannabis industry experience a plus)
- Selfmotivated with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working remotely with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and marketing compliance requirements
- Proficiency in basic graphic design principles
- Experience with social media content planning and scheduling
