Job Description

FullTime ESE Teacher (LBS1 PreK 8 Illinois FullTime

Anticipated Start:Academic Year

Locations: Multiple PreK 8 School Sites Across Illinois

As an LBS1certified educator you ll oversee a resource room classroom and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student s IEP. This role involves close collaboration with general education teachers families and support professionals to ensure student growth in both academic and socialemotional development.

Role Overview:

Foster a wellorganized supportive learning environment with clear behavioral expectations.
Customize instructional content to align with students learning styles needs and IEP goals.
Provide targeted instruction in academic subjects while nurturing life and socialemotional skills.
Maintain open communication with families sharing progress updates and collaborating on student goals.
Monitor student achievement document progress and adjust strategies based on assessment data.
Promote inclusion independence and engagement through studentcentered teaching practices.

Requirements

Candidates must have earned a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a closely related field along with a valid Illinois teaching license that includes an Early Childhood Special Education endorsement. A strong foundation in early childhood development and behavior management practices is essential for success in this role. Although prior experience supporting young children with disabilities in a preschool environment is preferred the ability to collaborate effectively with families educators and support staff is equally important to ensure each child s progress and overall development.
