Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Basic Grade Medical Scientist into a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Job type: Permanent/ Fulltime
Responsibilities
- In our busy Blood Sciences) Laboratory you will be in charge of providing analytical results with outstanding attention to quality speed/efficiency and economics.
- By actively evaluating internal quality control and external quality assessment you can keep an eye on and guarantee the calibre of analyses.
- Take part in the assessment of novel approaches strategies and tools.
- Possess proficiency with programs including Microsoft Word Excel and preferably APEX QPulse and other IT systems as needed.
- Take part in the hospital laboratory ISO 15189 quality management system and perform any essential tasks that are part of the system.
- Take part in the JCI Accreditation program for hospitals.
- Participate actively in change management procedures and adapt to the Laboratory services changing needs.
Requirements
- A recognized medical scientist qualification from the Department of Health and Children that has been accepted by CORUs Medical Scientists Registration Board or its equivalent.
- Possession of a valid visa or work permit or eligibility and availability to work in the Republic of Ireland
- CORU registration as a Medical Scientist or completion of the last year of an ACSLMaccredited program in the summer of 2025 are prerequisites.
- Experience with Roche Cobas biochemistry and Sysmex Haematology systems during a clinical placement or postqualification
- Possess postqualification expertise in blood sciences as a medical scientist including reviewing blood films.
- Possess knowledge of working in a multidisciplinary lab
- Keep abreast on new developments in biomedical science.
