Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a School Psychologist to provide services to students in a school district in Olean New York. The School Psychologist will be responsible for providing services to eligible special education students within the school district. The ideal candidate will have a current active Occupational Therapy New York License.

Requirements:
Master s degree or higher in School Psychology (or a related program) from an accredited institution
Current active New York State Certification as a School Psychologist
Minimum of one year of experience in a school setting is preferred
Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance requirements

Responsibilities:
Provide direct psychological services and support to students with disabilities (ages 3 21 in Early Childhood and K 12 Special Education Programs as specified in their IEPs.
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess students cognitive academic socialemotional and behavioral functioning
Participate in IEP meetings multidisciplinary team evaluations and collaborative planning sessions with educational staff and families
Maintain accurate documentation including evaluation reports progress notes Medicaid billing forms (if applicable) and service delivery logs
Provide recommendations on educational interventions behavioral supports and classroom accommodations to enhance student success and participation
Collaborate with teachers therapists school staff and parents to support student outcomes and ensure alignment with IEP goals
Offer training and consultation to teachers paraprofessionals and staff on behavior management mental health supports and data collection strategies
Participate in diagnostic evaluations staff meetings and IEP development
Deliver services across diverse settings including classrooms small group settings oneonone sessions and homebound environments when necessary
Submit quarterly progress reports and other required documentation in a timely manner
Adhere to all applicable state and federal regulations including NYS licensure requirements confidentiality laws and ethical standards of practice
Other duties as assigned by administration.
