Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage monthly quarterly and yearend close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare review and post complex journal entries including accruals prepayments amortizations and adjustments in compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform detailed GL account reconciliations investigating and resolving discrepancies proactively.
- Review and edit staffs GL entries and reconciliations to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and related financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports identifying trends variances and unusual items.
- Maintain and monitor the chart of accounts and cost centers.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for management and external audits.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous process improvements within the GL function recommending automation or system enhancements.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Tax treasury and B&R.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting policies procedures and controls.
- Support intercompany reconciliations and ensure elimination entries are properly recorded.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred.
- Ability to analyze large sets of data and explain variances.
- Strong organizational leadership and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 46 years of relevant accounting experience with strong GL exposure.
- Meets tight deadline requirements.
