Full time Barista
Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving highquality coffee and beverages while providing exceptional customer service. They ensure the service area is clean stocked and operates efficiently creating a welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee tea and specialty beverages according to established recipes.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines grinders and other equipment.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Take and process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure the caf area is clean organised and complies with health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash credit card transactions and operate the pointofsale (POS) system.
- Restock supplies including coffee beans milk and other ingredients.
- Assist in training new baristas and maintaining a teamoriented environment.
- Suggest menu items and promotions to enhance guest experience and sales.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espressobased drinks.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Good communication skills and team collaboration.
- Attention to detail and consistency in beverage preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar hospitality role preferred.
- Certification in Barista training or coffee preparation (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 15 kg.
- Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment.
