Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity. As the Manager Learning & Development (L&D) for Corporate Development you will be part of the Global Learning & Development team during a period of unprecedented innovation and transformation within Global People Modernization. With a longstanding commitment and investment in Learning and Development (L&D) and our Hamburger University brand combined paired with critical transformation occurring this role will help is a key builder to further evolve and accelerate learning and development of our people as an imperative for our business growth across the McDonalds system.

This role reports to the Director of Learning & Development Global Corporate Development and will need to closely partner with the enterprise stakeholders and the Global People Team to achieve the goals. Within this role you will support and partner with the L&D Director for Global Corporate Development on the strategy planning and of the talent development strategy and global learning programs for the critical business functions worldwide. You will collaborate with functional leaders segments markets and team members to build talent that can deliver against the needs of our rapidly changing business and customer expectations. The purpose of this role is to develop key capabilities and enable cross functional collaboration across the system and support the restaurant and customer experience of the future.  In this highly visible and critical role you will ensure the programs meet rigorous expectations and are aligned to the strategic priorities of the function and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support Director to build dedicated multiyear Learning & Development strategy for critical growth driving functions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders such as Global Segment and Market leaders and teams to build dedicated Learning & Development curriculum and programs from design to deployment
  • Ownership of dedicated functional learning pathways and experiences from creation design and to support the capabilities and upskilling of talent to achieve strategic ambitions of the business.
  • Manage key relationships with external vendors
  • Partner with the Director to develop dedicated content mapping and skills analysis to achieve strategic ambition.
  • Create and foster a continuous learning culture within Global Corporate functions through strong multipronged communication and activation strategy and approach. Leveraging existing and new opportunities (HU Online Linkedin Learning @mcd page etc.
  • Build dedicated learning solutions connected to the Global Learning & Development strategy to support the business growth driving efforts
  • Achieve outcomes through flawless and impact.
  • Unite Global Corporate functions success metrics with L&Ds Global Measurement & Analytics Development of a L&D communication strategy to drive engagement and own the of this strategy for the various markets and functions.
  • strategy by evaluating driving insight and building understanding through tracking against consistent standards and fulfilment of audience and business needs. NPS insights etc.
  • Collaborate with People Partners to support elevation of talent as part of Talent Phylosphy.
  • Have a deep understanding of Business Strategy Market priorities through regular stakeholder meetings and building strong cross functional relationship and spending time with our customers including scheduled time in restaurants.
  • Actively contribute unique ideas and expertise in addition to gaining input and collaboration from other areas of the business
  • Conduct and facilitate learning experiences presentations workshops and training.
  • Travel will be limited and adhoc only

The expected salary range for this role is $98140 $125130/ per year

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree required; MBA Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years experience
  • Experience in learning & development strategy design development and/or systems/technology with a proven track record of excellence
  • Demonstrable experience leading the of strategies/plans that delivered desired outcomes and strong business performance.
  • Experience working crossculturally with varied colleagues in a global and/or business environment.
  • Expertise across a variety of training methods with an excellent ability to engage with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Solid influencing negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and other key stakeholders including leadership.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to credibly make a business case by linking current and anticipated business challenges with learning and development solutions.
  • Ability to develop and translate strategic goals into successful deployment plans.
  • Outstanding project management skills on complex and evolving work.
  • Proven record of communicating and processing sophisticated and sensitive information.
