What You Will Be Doing
As a Classification Liaison on the Individual Allocations team you will support assigned State departments by consulting on and processing position description updates. You will perform foundational human resources work that is vital to maintaining the structural framework of the State of Alaskas classification and pay plans. The duties include a variety of projects and tasks requiring substantive review and analysis adaptability welldeveloped communication and writing skills empathy discretion judgement and the ability to make independent decisions.

Classification Services provides consultation and expertise in job analysis while administering fair and equitable job classification and pay structures to support the State of Alaskas civil service.

The Working Environment You Can Expect
Positions will be filled in Anchorage or Juneau depending on the location of the selected candidate. Juneaubased Classification staff work in the State Office Building located in the heart of downtown Juneau. Anchoragebased Classification staff work in the Atwood Building in the heart of downtown Anchorage. Both offer ample access to nearby amenities.
This position offers a hybrid telework and is required to work in the office a minimum of two 8hour workdays each week.
You will interact with clients and team members in an office setting over the phone and in a digital environment. This includes using Microsoft Office/365 applications such as Teams SharePoint Word and Excel as well as Workplace Alaska IRIS and Aspire Alaska.
