How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Energy Program Analyst (Planning Analyst)will have a substantial and important role in defining and implementing the energy program within Environmental Services and will be an integral part of a crossfunctional and crossdepartmental team working to prioritize sustainability in our decisionmaking processes and our operations within Environmental Services and across the divisions of the Metropolitan Council. This work is essential to ensure that we optimize efficiency and costeffectiveness while meeting our organizational goals for sustainability.
Energy Champion and Policy Development:
Any of the following combinations of experience in coordinating and implementing energy efficiency or environmental sustainability programs AND completed education (degree field of study in Environmental Science Sustainability Engineering Architecture Urban Studies or a closely related field):

Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office setting. The position requires working at outdoor events in various weather conditions. Travel between the primary worksite and other sites.
