The role is a traditional Senior Cost Manager role with Cost Consultant company background.
Main purpose of position:
The senior Cost Manager will be responsible to implement the T & T way of service delivery on the project and managing the project budget throughout the design development procurement and construction progress. He will collaboratively work with Project Director and Other team members to deliver all C&I related cost management deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Managing to estimate and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting C&I cost plans at various design stages.
- Applying Value Management techniques at the outset of a project and where appropriate involving Turner & Townsends specialist Value Management team
- Managing the procurement process ensuring that all stages including prequalification enquiry analysis selection and contract preparation are performed effectively
- Ensuring that postcontract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
- Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
- Ensuring the production of monthly postcontract cost reports and presenting them to the client
- Value engineering and life cycle costing
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages
- Where appropriate leading a cost management team ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities
- Staff management (where appropriate) Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Cost Manager or small cost management team to include 1st round recruitment interviews input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals
Skills Required
- Technical knowledge of interior fit projects for a period of 11 years for CM/QS.
- Prior experience of handling fit out projects is required and Candidates with Commercial project exposure could be prioritized preferably should know background working on CostX
- Good knowledge of all methods of construction and procurement.
- Experienced with or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applications.
- Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases.
- A collaborative approach able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally.
- Good organization skills with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills.
- Proven cost and/or commercial management experience ideally within a consultancy environment.

Qualifications :
- Education B.E/ Civil.
- Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
- You should have relevant experience of working for a construction consultancy in India be degree educated in a relevant construction subject and have good technical skills.
- 11 15 years of postqualification experience in a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
