As a Geothermal Monitoring Technician youll be at the heart of our subsurface team working alongside a talented group of technical experts. Your days will be spent in the field collecting vital measurements and chemistry samples and in the lab analysing this data to help us optimise our geothermal fields and meet our consent requirements. Reporting to our Geothermal Monitoring Supervisor (a true wahine toa) youll be part of a worldclass multidisciplinary subsurface team dedicated to maintaining our license to operate and caring for our subsurface assets.
In this role your strong interpersonal and relationship management skills will shine as you interact with various Contact teams including Reservoir Steamfield Operations Project and Engineering teams. Youll also engage with external stakeholders such as contractors neighbours and landowners. Your responsibilities will range from managing physical well and geothermal field measurements to supporting environmental compliance and maintaining data logging systems. A large part of this job is based outside so its important you like being in the outdoors and are physically fit.
This role is multifaceted and interacts with a bunch of different stakeholders inside and outside the organisation. Internally youll work with our Reservoir Steamfield Operations Project and Engineering teams whilst external stakeholders may include contractors neighbours and landowners. Were looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and relationship management skills and prides themselves in building successful connections.
Your strong communications skills ability to deal with ambiguity and take ownership of your work will ensure you are a good fit for our team environment. Well also appreciate the integrity and professional work ethic you will bring to the team.
Your ability to bring your mix of field laboratory and commercial skills along with high regard to safe working practices to ensure the safe and reliable operation of Contacts Geothermal Assets will see you in good stead.
If you have experience in trades chemistryplant maintenanceenvironmental sampling data logging and lab work we want to hear from energy electricity or utilities industry knowledgeandwed be even more impressed.
