Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech and language skills.
- Develop individualized treatment plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide direct therapy services to children in homes childcare settings or community environments.
- Implement evidencebased practices to address communication and language challenges.
- Monitor and document progress toward IFSP goals adjusting strategies as needed.
- Educate and train families and caregivers to promote skill development in natural environments.
- Provide resources and strategies to help integrate communication activities into daily routines.
- Partner with other professionals (e.g. occupational therapists physical therapists developmental specialists) to deliver holistic care.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input for case discussions and planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments treatment plans and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for early intervention services.
- Stay informed on current research and advancements in speechlanguage pathology and early intervention.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and certification.
Qualifications:
- State licensure as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Master s degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association (ASHA) preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered.
- Experience working with young children and families preferably in early intervention settings.
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and familycentered care principles.
- Strong assessment diagnostic and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
