Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech and language skills.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct therapy services to children in homes childcare settings or community environments.
  • Implement evidencebased practices to address communication and language challenges.
  • Monitor and document progress toward IFSP goals adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Educate and train families and caregivers to promote skill development in natural environments.
  • Provide resources and strategies to help integrate communication activities into daily routines.
  • Partner with other professionals (e.g. occupational therapists physical therapists developmental specialists) to deliver holistic care.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input for case discussions and planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for early intervention services.
  • Stay informed on current research and advancements in speechlanguage pathology and early intervention.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and certification.

Qualifications:

  • State licensure as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Master s degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association (ASHA) preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered.
  • Experience working with young children and families preferably in early intervention settings.
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and familycentered care principles.
  • Strong assessment diagnostic and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
