Our Opportunity


*The course rate range for this position is $225.00 $400.00/per course. The compensation for this is driven by enrollment into the specific class.

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Corporate and Continuing Education seeks highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of Adult Learning Instructor for noncredit courses.

What Youll Do

Develop course activities and materials to meet the learning objectives of our Adult Learning Theory course:

Apply multiple teaching and learning strategies that promote the affective cognitive and kinesthetic domains of learning.

Be available to teach classes on a variety of days and times.

Qualifications You Possess

Minimum Qualifications:
Current knowledge of research based Adult Learning Theories.
Experience and ability to teach others how to deliver and develop instruction for inperson online and ondemand courses.
Evidence of teaching experience or potential.
Commitment to working effectively with faculty staff and students from diverse ethnic cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of teaching or training in a corporate/professional setting.

SPSCC accepts applications for adjunct faculty (parttime) positions on an ongoing basis to establish a qualified pool of applicants. This pool is created for future parttime professor appointments to the individual program or course indicated. This announcement will serve as an open and continuous applicant pool. Appointment availability varies from quarter to quarter.

Candidates selected from the pool will be contacted by the division should a vacancy arise.
Top candidates will be notified directly to interview for this position. Selection will be based on the applicants knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties listed in this job posting as identified in the materials requested above.
