Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for an experienced Mechanic to fill a position for a client located near Hillsboro Oregon who specializes in food production.
DETAILS
$35/hr $45/hr to start depending on experience
Must be able to train on multiple shifts
Permanent shift will be a discussion held with you after training
Background check and drug screen is required
JOB SUMMARY
Senior maintenance mechanic to oversee and lead the maintenance team with installs troubleshooting repairs and maintaining the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and is hands on with performing routine equipment inspection monitoring lubrication waste water treatment and required troubleshooting
Must be knowledgeable with mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Oversee schedule and assist with preventive maintenance
Take production calls for equipment troubleshooting
Inventory management
Maintain proper housekeeping in the maintenance shop fab and other working areas
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform other/additional duties and projects that may be periodically needed
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of mechanical and equipment maintenance techniques and practices
Computerized preventive maintenance programs.
Ability to operate equipment/tools/machinery to make appropriate repairs.
Ability to examine machines and determine defects in operation
Ability to speak read and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.
EDUCATION
High school education or GED required.
TRAINING
ISO training and Hyster training preferred.
EXPERIENCE (TYPE & DURATION)
5 years of experience in performing maintenance work.
Frequently uses decision making interpersonal teamwork creativity problem analysis and basic math skills. Work includes continuously standing walking stooping crawling fingering reaching feeling bending kneeling grasping and handling; frequently talking and hearing. Position may lift and carry up to 500 pounds with the aid of hoist and rollers and lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
