Embedded SW developer for Automotive: Combustion Engines and Fuel Injection Controllers.
Requirements:
Domain Knowledge (Combustion Engines and Fuel Injection Controllers)
Indepth understanding of internal combustion engine operation: gasoline diesel GDI CRDi etc.
Familiarity with fuel injection types and technologies: sequential direct common rail.
Deep knowledge of OEM fuel injection controllers (e.g. Bosch Delphi Continental Denso):
Understanding of control algorithms:
Software Competencies:
Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C including in realtime systems
Experience with RTOS (e.g. OSEK FreeRTOS AUTOSAR OS)
Ability to work with AUTOSAR Classic automotive systems
Familiarity with tools such as:
/MATLAB/Simulink (for strategy modeling and code generation) /CANoe CANalyzer (network analysis and testing) /ETAS INCA Vector DaVinci Developer TRACE32
Experience with version control and CI/CD systems (e.g. Git Jenkins)
Knowledge of ASPICE / VCycle development processes in the automotive context
Analytical and Technical Skills:
Ability to read and analyze:
/Fuel maps/Ignition maps torque curves AFR etc.
Proficiency in working with and optimizing ECU calibration data
Ability to debug at both hardware and system levels
Experience in OBD and MIL error analysis including symptom tracking and root cause investigation
Soft Skills and Project Abilities:
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: mechanics test engineers software and hardware
Skill in translating complex algorithms into understandable concepts
Experience working with OEM/Tier1 customers documentation validation and change management
Experience in ECU reverse engineering e.g. working with .bin files tools like WinOLS
Knowledge of efuel / hybrid systems / startstop / cylinder deactivation technologies
