COMPASS is a private nonprofit community based organization which provides special education intensive outreach and tracking counseling tutoring enrichment and violence prevention programs. Established in 1974 COMPASS has served more than 43000 highrisk urban youth and their families. Using a team approach experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds annually serve over 250 children adolescents and families through our provide individual and group therapy to students in order to meet their therapeutic IEP goals. Clinicians must work collaboratively and individually to provide clinical support for students with emotional and behavioral needs. Clinicians are an integral part of the COMPASS School team. They provide therapeutic support to Job Functions:1. Have weekly clinical sessions with students based on IEP goals2. Provide weekly clinical groups3. Support the milieu in crisis situations4. Work collaboratively with teachers caseworkers other clinicians and administration to support the needs of students and the program.5. Manage a caseload of 1020 students6.
