Short Description

To provide patient care under the supervision of RN in the ambulatory surgery setting.

  • Assist with patient ADLs and daily care
  • Communicates and supports with healthcare team and patients family and/or significant others
  • Maintains and demonstrates high standards of ethics
  • Performs technical duties as directed by RN ex: Vital signs POC testing EKG Foley cath care documents appropriately
  • Attends staff meetings
  • Assist in admissions transfers and discharges from Units
  • Handling of clerical environmental and organizational tasks
  • Maintains work knowledge and regulatory standards
  • Excellent organizational written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Performance of excellent customer service skills

Experience Required

  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) vital signs venipuncture capillary and injection experience
  • Electronic health record experience
  • Excellent organizational written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Outstanding patient experience skills

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

License/Certification Requirements

  • Critical Care Technician or Medical Assistant certification preferred
