Short Description
To provide patient care under the supervision of RN in the ambulatory surgery setting.
- Assist with patient ADLs and daily care
- Communicates and supports with healthcare team and patients family and/or significant others
- Maintains and demonstrates high standards of ethics
- Performs technical duties as directed by RN ex: Vital signs POC testing EKG Foley cath care documents appropriately
- Attends staff meetings
- Assist in admissions transfers and discharges from Units
- Handling of clerical environmental and organizational tasks
- Maintains work knowledge and regulatory standards
- Excellent organizational written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Performance of excellent customer service skills
Experience Required
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) vital signs venipuncture capillary and injection experience
- Electronic health record experience
- Excellent organizational written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Outstanding patient experience skills
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
License/Certification Requirements
- Critical Care Technician or Medical Assistant certification preferred
