Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our design system ensuring consistency and scalability across all products platforms and services.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those requirements.
- Apply your expertise in driving the evolution of our design system.
- Influence direction and priorities within your team championing customercentricity creativity and high design standards.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide feedback to ensure alignment with our design principles.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices in design systems and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
- Use customer insights and analytical data to inform the development of key components and design patterns.
- Contribute to the vision to drive Design System adoption and improvements across the organisation.
- Evangelise our Design System across the organisation fostering collaboration between design and development teams.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Previous experience in a Design System design role creating contributing and/or maintaining a Design System.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating examples of Design System deliverables (components patterns documentation and guidelines for a variety of stakeholders).
- Demonstrate an ability to think at a systems level of design and understanding of UserCentred Design and usability best practices.
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements and how to implement them with designers and developers.
- Previous experience working in mobile application or responsive web design.
- Proficiency with Figma Figma Variables Token Studio Supernova or similar Design System tools.
- Bachelors degree in Design HCI or related field or equivalent professional experience.
