NXTGEN is working with a wellestablished Chartered Accountants near Sudbury in their search for a Payroll Assistant to join a small but experienced team. This firm is known for delivering exceptional payroll services to a diverse client base while fostering a supportive and downtoearth working environment where employees can develop and progress if they wish. As the new Payroll Assistant youll manage a broad range of clients across various industries including CIS clients delivering endtoend payroll services. From handling HMRC queries to building relationships with clients youll play an integral role in the teams success and contribute to the firms continued growth.

This is a brandnew role created due to growth and internal promotions and theyre now looking for an enthusiastic and energetic payroll professional to make a real impact. Whether youre looking for fulltime hours or parttime flexibility (ideally 2530 hours per week) this role offers a great balance. If youre after a noncorporate environment where you can come in do a great job and leave work at the door this could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver endtoend payroll services for a varied portfolio of Ltd companies sole traders and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and support the manager with HMRC requests.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships offering support and payroll advice when needed.
  • Meet strict deadlines while handling client queries professionally and efficiently.

What the client is looking for:

  • Ideally experience within an accountancy practice though strong industry payroll experience will also be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service.
  • Good knowledge of payroll legislation and the ability to apply it effectively.
