Job Description

Crossing Guard

Objective:

Safely expedite the movement of children to and from school by stopping traffic.

Responsibilities:

Protect children going to and from school is the principal duty and nothing else shall be permitted to interfere with this function
Report directly to their school post for both morning and afternoon duties
Remain at the assigned post for the full assigned time each day that school is in session

Qualificaitons:

Must Be at least 18 years old
Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform light physical activity (e.g. walking standing using hand signals).
Must have a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
Ability to communicate effectively with students parents and drivers.
Reliability and punctuality are essential for this role.

Terms of Employment:

Reports to: Director of Transportation and Facilities or Designee
Rate: $20.00/hour
