REPORTS TO: Executive Director and Special Education Director Start Date: Immediate Application Deadline: Until position is filledRESPONSIBILITIES: Reports Directly to the West Bay Collaborative Special Education DirectorSupervise all staff assigned to the Alternative Learning Program to include certified noncertified staff and contracted personnel Assist the West Bay Collaborative Special Education Director in the supervision of other programs as deemed necessaryEffectively evaluate certified faculty using the RIDE Evaluation ModelEffectively evaluate noncertified staff using the West Bay Collaborative formatRecommend personnel appointments and assignments to the Special Education Director and/or Executive DirectorEstablish and maintain a positive school climateWork with the West Bay Collaborative Special Education Director to review student referrals to program Meet regularly with Administration staff and sending districts regarding status of referrals and students transitioning to and from programMonitors adherence of teachers to approved curriculum and standards including effective lesson planning and content area progressMonitor student progress by frequently analyzing assessment dataIdentify program needs and generate annual program budget recommendations to be given to the Executive DirectorResponsible for management and inventory of equipment and suppliesComply with all state and federal program regulations (IDEA and 504 train staff on regulations and guidance as and facilitate professional development for faculty and staff based on programmatic needs as approved by the West Bay Collaborative Special Education DirectorParticipate in professional development and keep abreast of current instruction and assessment practices as approved by the Executive Director and/or Special Education DirectorWork closely with the Special Education Director Chief Behavior Specialist Program Social Worker and Lead Behavior Specialist to implement lead and monitor a schoolwide positive behavior programCommunicate effectively with all stakeholdersAttend school and community functionsAttend all Administrative and Committee meetings as directed by the Executive Director and/or Special Education DirectorCoordinate and supervise safety procedures and practicesComplete on time all reports required by the Executive Director Special Education Director and other local or state agenciesManage and lead daily school operationsPerforms other duties as requested by the Executive Director and/or Special Education Director
