Leads and ensures the management development implementation and evaluation of programs and services related to community wellness initiatives including the prenatal components of infant mortality school health initiatives and healthy neighborhoods zone.
Essential Functions:- Participates in developing implementing and evaluating the organizations mission goals and objectives and is responsible for developing the philosophy and implementation plan for community wellness initiatives.
- In conjunction with Keep Me Well Committee sets strategic priorities within prenatal infant mortality schools and healthy neighborhoods programs.
- Partners with the Director Center for Innovation in Pediatric Practice as well as the VP Partners for Kids and the Medical Director Partners for Kids in developing implementation strategies for identified community based programs.
- Provides strategic support to external governmental committees such as the Columbus Infant Mortality Committee.
- Serves as the community representative to governmental nonprofit and corporate wellness partners.
- Serves as liaison between faculty in programs and hospital departments OSU and OSUMC local national and global communities;
- Develops business plans identifying resource requirements reporting relationships timelines and success metrics for individual wellness programs.
- Establishes metrics and means for evaluation of the overall programs; contributes to progress reports to Hospital and Research leadership;
- Collaborates and consults with medical and hospital personnel at all levels both internally and externally for the development and coordination of wellness programs.
- Works directly with the Director Planning and Business Development to ensure resource plans are consistent with other efforts/programs within the institution.
- Establishes effective vehicles of communication across internal and external parties involved in the various projects initiatives; including direct presentation to referring physicians as appropriate.
- Promotes the organization to the community. Recommends and enacts marketing strategies for organizational or professional enhancement.
- Plans provides assures promotes and participates in educational programs for the professional and partner communities.
- Reports to the Senior Vice President Strategic and Facilities Planning periodically to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Medical Officer on issues with specific interest to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) peers and medical staff concerning department / program goals problems and forecasts.
