The Opportunity

We are seeking fulltime Senior IT Systems Administrators (week on week off 12 hours/day) to join our team based in Perth to provide end users with IT support to facilitate Fugros vessels and remote operations locally and globally. The role is to identify the needs or challenges faced by end users in the field/vessels and promote standards for IT infrastructure as well as propose solutions. Your duties include but not limited to the below:

• Act as the first point of contact for end users in the field or remote operations centers and as 2nd line escalation point for Support Assistants and Administrators;
• Liaise with Operational Technology (OT) Services teams to support deployment of standard infrastructure and systems as well as monitor systems and handle alerts according to procedures;
• Monitor the status of open tickets and provide weekly reports to the responsible parties while implementing standard solutions and completing tasks as instructed;
• Complete periodic system maintenance tasks and report on these including system patching backup and standard restore tasks;
• Coordinate purchasing and logistics for hardware maintenance the roll out of systems updates and in response to monitoring alerts;
• Support cyber security initiatives and respond to cyber issues reported by field personnel and escalate where necessary;
• Generate support activities with external vendors and create IT infrastructure and systems support related work instruction documentation when required.

The Operational Technology (OT) Services team is part of Fugros global IT Infrastructure and Security team. At OT Services we provide IT support to facilitate Fugros vessels and field operations remote operations and processing of Geodata collected during those operations. Within OT Services the Support team is globally distributed with members in each of the four Fugro regions and provides 1st and 2nd line IT support through our 24/7 OT Services Support Desk for Fugros marine vessels globally.

About You

Your success in securing this role will require:

• Tertiary degree or certificate in Information Technology Computer Science or related fields;
• Proven experience in similar roles or work within the marine/offshore industries with good understanding of IT service management process (ITIL) and ITSM tools;
• Solid technical knowledge on both desktop and server infrastructure enterprise applications and multiple platforms such as Windows & Linux;
• Proactive and dynamic approach to work with the ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problemsolving skills using appropriate data analysis interpretation;
• Strong communications skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels and able to generate written instructions and support documentation.
