Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and Facilities Tech Level 1/Shuttle Driver to provide transportation services for staff at NACC. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for transporting individuals between designated pickup points and the clinic in a safe timely and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport clinic staff to and from the clinic and other designated locations (Allina Commons Parking Ramp)
  • Maintain a clean and comfortable shuttle vehicle ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Assist employees with entering and exiting the shuttle particularly those with mobility challenges.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws safety protocols and clinic policies during transportation.
  • Maintain a schedule ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
  • Monitor the shuttle vehicles fuel and maintenance needs and notify management of any issues.
  • Ensure all passengers are secured in their seats with seatbelts and assist with other safety measures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting with staff in a polite and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by clinic management.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Receive process and distribute incoming and outgoing packages and shipments.
  • Support other facilities staff and projects as needed.
  • Maintaining campus cleanliness inside and outside of the buildings

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Drivers License with a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in driving or transportation is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance repair techniques and safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift light to moderate weight (up to 25 lbs. when necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Shuttle driving primarily takes place within the clinics designated routes and parking areas.
  • Some outdoor exposure to weather conditions may occur.
