SS&C Algorithmics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (full stack Java developer) with an interest in financial risk management to join the Algo Workspace Analyzer product development team in Toronto Canada. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of a team developing Algorithmics next generation risk aggregation solutions. This role will work with financial risk solution and technology experts to build and continuously innovate a suite of next generation risk solutions used globally by banks asset managers and insurance companies.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Design develop and optimize financial risk computation and regulatory reporting solutions written in Java.
- Write clean efficient code to handle largescale data processing and customizable reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance scalability and resource bottlenecks.
- Partner with regulation experts financial engineers product teams implementation engineers and clients to translate regulatory requirements and client specific needs into efficient technical solutions.
- Solve complex challenges of distributed multithreaded and realtime processing system architecture.
What You Will Bring:
- 35 years of backend Java development experience with proficiency in Java data structures/algorithms and objectoriented design.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and implement efficient solutions in a distributed framework
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn financial regulations quantitative logic and business workflows. Experience in financial risk is preferred but not mandatory
- Solid analytical problem solving mathematical and communication skills
- Experience with databases SpringBoot containers and kubernetes and modern build systems a plus.
