Special Knowledge / Skills: The ability to create and maintain positive relations with students school personnel parents and citizens and to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality of Responsibilities:A Math Coach is a certified teacher who works full time to improve student learning through supporting teachers and other staff members to better instructional practices in the classroom setting. This will be accomplished through a variety of professional development to bring all populations of students to mastery of RSU14s mathematics standards with a curriculum balance in concepts skills and application. This position supports the RSU14 Strategic Plan Core Belief 3 Student Engagement and Core Belief 4 Staff staff support in using student work to improve achievement through coplanning coteaching reflection and use of a community problem solving approach to managing math instruction including working with building administrators standards based teachers and Title 1 staff. Build a common understanding of the foundations of data to drive professional development in a large group small group and individual learning staff support when looking at the data and creating instructional plans to support with staff including Standards Based and Interventionists to identify instructional strategies and effective resources so that teachers have what they need teachers with scope sequence and pacing to ensure the progression of learning for students. Coordinate with the Director of Curriculum in plans to review math programs interventions support and supplemental materials. Uses technology and uses data to inform each students performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understandings and prepares progress reports and grade and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive classroom and requisitions instructional materials and maintains required inventory professional competence through professional development activities provided by the District and/or selfselected professional growth activitiesParticipates in curriculum and other development programs within the school or on a District levelPerforms other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Administration from timetotime
