This job posting is for current student teachers that wish to substitute for their cooperating teacher. Please list your cooperating teacher university supervisor and school administrator as your professional references.
You will need to provide a copy of the completed health form 2 forms of ID your unofficial transcripts showing curent semester of student teaching and a letter or email from your university supervisor stating that you are approved to sub.

Salary
- Sub for a Certified Teacher Sub has a Current/Expired License: $123 per day
- Sub for a Certified Teacher Sub is Unlicensed: $118 per day
- Sub for NonCertified Teacher Assistant 7.5 hour/day): $113 per day
Reports to
School Principal
Essential Functions
- Communicates collaborates and cooperates with colleagues supervisors and students.
- Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
- Assumes the responsibilities for instructing classes when a teacher is absent.
- Assumes other responsibilities for that teacher during the time the teacher is absent.
- Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class during lunch and other activities.
- Follows all district and individual school policies rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject.
- Performs other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned by the School Administrator.

Physical Requirements
- This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
- Work regularly requires speaking or hearing using hands to finger handle or feel and repetitive motions frequently requires sitting and occasionally requires standing walking stooping kneeling crouching or crawling reaching with hands and arms pushing or pulling and lifting.
- Work has standard vision requirements.
- Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
- Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data operating machines operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities.
- Work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office light traffic).
Special Requirements
- Valid drivers license in the State of North Carolina.
