As a Software Engineer III React UI at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Technology team you are an essential part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology to assist customers with discovering and managing their payment APIs. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Proficient in JavaScript and modern ES6 syntax and asynchronous programming
- Experience in TypeScript with typesafe development and static typing
- Experience in React JS with hooks functional components and state management (Redux Context API Zustand)
- Experience in CSS responsive design modern techniques including Flexbox Grid and animations
- Proficient in Testing using Jest and React Testing Library endtoend testing
- Experience of interacting with backend services
- Exposure to agile methodologies including CI/CD application resiliency
- Adaptability to changing project requirements and technologies
- Follow security best practices in code and data handling
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Understanding of
- Understanding of modern application infrastructure design and nonfunctional requirements (security scalability availability etc.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles using Terraform or similar tools
- Understanding of caching technologies
