Job Description

Corsicana ISD keeps an open pool of applications for substitute teachers on our website. The applications are made available to the Substitute Coordinator for review and will be kept on file for one year. Substitutes must have a phone or computer where they can be reached by our AESOP automated calling system. State law requires that all substitutes must be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting is at the substitutes expense.

PLEASE BE SURE TO PROVIDE YOUR FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER DATE OF BIRTH AND DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER. Fingerprinting information cannot be requested without this information. Thank you.

Substitutesshould have:

  • High School Diploma; or
  • 48 hours or more college credit hours

Substitutes new to our district must attend district provided substitute training.

Substitute Salary Schedule

  • Regular Teacher/Paraprofessional Assignment nondegree ..................................$80 per day
  • Regular Teacher/Paraprofessional Assignment Bachelors degree......................... $85 per day
  • Longterm Teacher/Paraprofessional Assignment ..................... .........................$90 per day
  • Certified Teacher Assignment ..........................................................................$115 per day

Regular assignments are up to ten consecutive days in the same assignment. Longterm assignments are eleven or more consecutive days per assignment.
