Responsible for the creation of and updates to provider templates for assigned areas incorporating the Guidelines for Template Standardization. Monitors master and daily schedule change requests. Works with Providers Clinic/Practice Managers Supervisors and/or Secretaries and Schedulers to identify the most efficient streamlined appointment scheduling process by incorporating various scheduling options into the provider schedule definition. Assists with the training of Template Builders to ensure consistency and adherence to all approved scheduling standards. Develops and modifies scheduling templates to optimize provider time in clinics; assists in improving patient access provider book rates and provider productivity.I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides oversight of master schedule templates for new and existing providers including new appointment type requests (i.e. new patient; established patient; urgent; etc. and visit type load balance.
2. Works in conjunction with Ambulatory Operations to identify review and make recommendations to Providers and Practice Managers of suggested master template enhancements.
3. Ensures change requests are completed according to process guidelines including changes to existing appointment types working off worklist and proper worklist assignment of bumped patients.
4. Maintains detailed documentation to support change requests within Service Now
5. Communicates status of change requests with Providers Senior Directors Clinic/Practice Managers Group Administrators Supervisors and/or Secretaries and Schedulers via Service Now

1. Associates degree.
Preferred:
1. Bachelors degree in lieu of experience.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Minimum 3 years of scheduling experience.
2. Minimum 1 year of master template experience preferably in a health care environment.
3. Requires the ability to use specialized applications software and computer systems for patient registration and scheduling and knowledge of business office procedures.
4. Must be proficient in knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Demonstrated experience in leading change customer advocacy and continuous improvement methodologies; strong analytical and critical thinking skills regarding the collection and compilation of data and identification of trends.
Unless certification licensure or registration is required an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
