The DGS Division of Real Estate Services (DRES) seeks to hire a real estate professional to serve as a Transaction Manager for the oversight of the Commonwealths owned real estate interests primarily focused on theacquisition use and disposal of real property interests for the Commonwealths communication tower portfolio.
Please note that this position is different from the DR028 Transaction Manager for Owned Real Estate position which focuses on the Commonwealths natural resources agencies. DRES supports state departments agencies and institutions and their public missions by providing high quality real estate that is cost effective and functionally efficient. DRES also manages the Commonwealths broad real estate portfolio ensuring compliance with applicable laws policies procedures guidelines and best practices.
As part of the Owned Property team this Transaction Manager supports DRES by providing effective leadership and direction in developing and achieving strategic goals for acquisition use and disposal of real property interests for Agencies of the position helps ensure that client agencies receive timely real estate services and are provided the facilities they need at the most economical cost. The position provides expert advice and assists agencies in strategic planning defining facility needs selecting facilities that meet those needs obtaining necessary services conducting and negotiating transactions and reviewing transactions and documents to make informed recommendations for approval by the Governor.

This position will be located in Richmond Virginia and must report onsite. This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule (telework up to 2 days/week) upon completion of an approved telework agreement.
