The Department of Economic Security Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Case Manager Unit Supervisor Behavioral Health in the Specialty Unit . DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities and their families services and supports that are flexible high quality and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decisionmaking and engagement in the community.

Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervises and directs work activities of subordinate staff; provides necessary training; provides technical advice and assistance to staff regarding development implementation or monitoring of member Individual Support Plans (ISP); completes performance evaluations.
Reviews cases assigned to work unit; assesses needs and assigns case to staff members; reviews Individual Support Plan developed by Support Coordinator to ensure member needs are met; ensures assignment area completed within established time lines in compliance with quality standards.
Attends and facilitates meetings including but not limited to staff meetings district supervisory meetings meetings with representatives of other governmental and community organizations and district and statewide workgroups.
Meets with subordinate staff to assist with identifying necessary changes and modifications to Individual Support Plans.
Develops support plans for the most difficult and complex cases assigned to the work unit; interviews and counsels members and family members; makes modifications to the Individual plan as necessary.
Reviews verifies and authorizes expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
Prepares reports relating to cases assigned to the work unit.

Knowledge in:
Federal and State Statutes agency policies and procedures relating to the care and treatment of persons with developmental disabilities; Agency personnel rules and practices; Title XIX; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Principles and practices of case management methodology procedures and techniques in development of Individual or Family Support Plans Individual Service Plans or PersonCentered Plans for people with developmental disabilities; Crisis management
Social intellectual and behavioral problems of people with developmental disabilities
Community resources medical and behavioral health issues and terminology
Principles of applied behavioral interventions and child development
Skills In:
Oral and written communication
Workload management
Leadership and Team Building
Listening
Problem identification and resolution
Interpersonal relations
Ability to:
Mentoring teaching coaching and training
Utilize a computer including the use of Microsoft Office and various internet/intranet based programs

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business then the following requirements apply: Drivers License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to Drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operated a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C. (R210201.11.
As required by AHCCCS Contract No. YH60014 a Case Manager Supervisor must be an Arizona licensed registered nurse in good standing OR possess a degree in social work with a minimum of three 3 years case management experience OR possess a bachelors degree in psychology special education or counseling with a minimum of three 3 years of case management experience and three 3 years of management experience.
Employee shall have a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 412758.07 in order to work with children and vulnerable adults.
Candidates for this position shall be subject to a search of both the Department of Child Safety Central Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 8804 and the Adult Protective Services Registry pursuant to A.R.S. 46459.
Successfully pass background and reference check; employment is contingent upon completion of the abovementioned process and the Agencys ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (EVerify).
