What Youll Be Doing:

• Leading the Way: Manage the daytoday transport operations ensuring timely full and safe deliveries.
• Safety First: Keep our operations running smoothly while adhering to Metcash SHE systems and ensuring safety responsibilities are met.
• Training & Compliance: Keep your team sharp by ensuring uptodate training and strict adherence to the Chain of Responsibility.
• Paperwork Pro: Oversee vehicle checks incident and hazard reports and ensure everything is shipshape.
• Team Development: Lead motivate and ensure your team hits key performance indicators (KPIs) with precision and enthusiasm.
• Fleet Maintenance: Keep our vehicles running in top condition with regular services and maintenance.
• Customer Relations: Build strong lasting relationships with our customers by ensuring topnotch service and resolving any transportation issues.
• Proactive Problem Solver: Investigate any DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) challenges and develop action plans for continuous improvement.

What Youll Bring to the Table:

• Clear Communication: You can speak and write with precision ensuring your team is always on the same page.
• Proactive Problem Solver: You love using your initiative to get things done efficiently and you thrive in fastpaced environments.
• Fleet Management: You have experience overseeing vehicle maintenance repairs and compliance ensuring the fleet is safe and reliable.
• Leadership Skills: You know how to supervise and inspire a team to work together efficiently and provide exceptional service.
• Technical Skills: Youre familiar with transportation management software KPIs and ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
• Customer Focus: Youll go above and beyond to address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction.

What Youll Need:

Qualifications & Experience:
2 years in transportation management or a similar role.
Forklift & truck license (desirable but not a dealbreaker!.
Previous experience with POS systems Huge bonus!
Solid understanding of transportation regulations and compliance.
