Our client is a leading supply chain and logistics company headquartered in Durban South Africa is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Executive. With a rich history and a commitment to excellence they are at the forefront of providing cuttingedge solutions to meet the evolving needs of businesses across South Africa.
As the IT Executive you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic objectives of the business ensuring seamless of ITrelated tasks across various business units. Reporting directly to the IT Director you will lead a team of Application Managers overseeing the application landscape in areas such as Supply Chain Customer Service Finance Warehouse Logistics HR Payroll Smart Worker and Business Reporting. Your focus will be on innovation sustainability and aligning IT initiatives to ensure smooth running of the business while delivering Vector Logistics longterm strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Direction:
- Manage lead and provide direction to Application Managers for alignment with business strategy.
- Lead the IT direction contributing to the strategic vision set by the IT Director.
- Business Solutions and Innovation:
- Explore and align business solutions to market needs understanding risks costs and benefits.
- Drive innovation across application areas focusing on 4th generation systems.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee 3rd party suppliers through Application Managers.
- Ensure efficient people process and systems management.
- Stakeholder management and partnering for continuous improvement.
- Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets and present related monthly reports.
- Drive alignment with the strategic intent and direction of functional areas such as Customer & Sales Warehousing Transport Supply Chain HR and Reporting for continuous business growth and transformation.
Requirements:
- 1015 years in an IT Leadership role.
- Proven project management experience.
- Preferred experience in SAP particularly in S4 implementation/migration.
- Knowledge of IT & HRIS systems Ecommerce B2B systems and 4th generation systems (machine learning AI data strategy BI HR systems).
- Background in business process and application management with a focus on service provider engagement management.
- Leadership and management abilities.
- Strategic thinking to identify technologydriven business opportunities.
- Technical expertise across various technologies.
- Business acumen to articulate the value of technology investments and be a trusted business advisor.
- Problemsolving skills and adaptability to changing technological landscapes.
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in IT; Masters degree advantageous.
