POSITION SUMMARY:

At Cogeco every day our teams are taking action to bring people together through powerful communications and entertainment experiences. In this role you will work with Sponsors (Exco members) Workstream / Crew Leads Owners and Functional Leads to ensure the Transformation drives cash impact and that it is assessed accurately and monitored consistently by establishing and maintaining robust financial controls and reporting mechanisms.

In the position you will mainly:

  • Work with Initiatives and Product Owners (IOs & POs) to ensure consistent approach to valuation of initiative impact

  • Provide financial insight and guidance relating to Revenue initiatives. Build and improve business cases financial models and KPIs in collaboration with relevant teams within Finance

  • Implement improve and adapt processes and tools to ensure budgeting planning forecasting and performance tracking and reviews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Leadership

  • Primary contact for Crews and Workstreams for all Finance related situations.

  • Lead financial review meetings to obtain performance insights and understand challenges that might require support in order to monitor the progress of the initiatives

  • Work with teams to develop and track quarterly gap plan enabler to offset risk driver (when applicable)

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Financial Management

  • Build challenge and approve all Business cases of the transformation. Monitor and track benefits with Crew leads.

  • Propose financial evidence per initiative to Internal Audit. Confirm the impact with Internal audit.

  • Reporting translating project and portfolio finances into helpful analysis that drives better decision making by Transformation governance.

  • Utilizing data analytics to assess performance and measure the impact of transformation initiatives.

  • Designing developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)

Change Management

  • Develop executive communication materials on results and progress of transformation at the Crew level.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure financial alignment and support for transformation initiatives. Ensure interdependencies are accounted for.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of business operations and drivers

  • Ability to collaborate and work crossfunctionally

  • Strong financial analysis skills

  • Financial modeling and budgeting

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of financial systems and tools

ACADEMIC TRAINING:

  • Relevant Bachelor degree (e.g. Finance or Accounting).

  • CPA designation is considered a strong asset.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) business analysis or a related finance role.

  • Proven ability to develop financial models build business cases and conduct insightful performance reporting.

  • Experience in supporting or participating in process improvement projects or transformation initiatives is highly valued.
