Job purpose
To provide researchbased developmentally appropriate instructional strategies for small group instruction and to assist classroom teachers with implementation of effective best practices to improve student achievement results and close achievement.
Essential Job Functions
- Facilitate the schools intervention program and work collaboratively with the classroom teachers to determine intervention needs of students.
- Assist classroom teachers with the collection and analysis of formative and summative assessment data to provide targeted instruction.
- Meet regularly with PLC teams to plan researchbased developmentally appropriate lessons based on formative assessment data in order to differentiate instruction.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers individually to identify the needs of students to set learning goals and targets and to problem solve with teachers to develop best practices for continuous academic growth of students through their personal education plan.
- Participate in ongoing and jobembedded professional development to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content.
- Maintain and submit accurate and uptodate management records of all students progress.
- Conduct and/or participate in parent conferences as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using proper grammar and vocabulary.
- Demonstrate the ability to incorporate technology tools and devices to enhance lessons as well as for word processing data management information retrieval visual and audio presentations and telecommunications
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Teacher Licensure
- Minimum of five years successful classroom teaching experience; Masters Degree in Education preferred
- Proficient technology and digital learning skills
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Strong instructional skill inclusive of researchbased developmental
Physical requirements
