Job Description
Great opportunity to support our Global Amazon Private Brands business as lead product counsel. This attorney will provide legal guidance on product and service launches regulatory issues and advice on commercial and compliance related initiatives for business. Help us build more products that customers love!
Lawyers at Amazon are trusted members of the business. Our work is intellectually challenging exciting and fastpaced. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business. The role covers the full spectrum of legal issues faced by the business including new product development in highly regulated areas catalog quality localization contract negotiation and supply chain issues. This role collaborates with numerous teams across Amazon including Social Responsibility Sustainability IP Privacy Devices Product Safety and Compliance.
Key job responsibilities
Support business leaders as lead counsel on product development right through to launch.
Counsel on regulatory and compliance matters respond to regulatory inquiries.
Provide daytoday customerfocused advice.
Handle prelitigation legal disputes and inquiries.
Some domestic and international travel will be required.
5 years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and inhouse work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
