Job Description

Scheme Manager Creating Supportive Communities for Over 55s

24731 pro rata Bath Part Time Permanent 30 hours per week

This handson role puts you at the heart of these communities. Based primarily at Meadow and Minerva Courts in Bath youll divide your time between these schemes ensuring both the physical spaces and the community spirit are maintained to the highest standards.

Youll be the friendly face our customers see each day and the person they trust to make their living environment comfortable safe and enjoyable.

What youll be doing

  • Conducting essential safety checks alarm testing and maintaining accurate logs
  • Acting as the primary contact for customers queries concerns and complaints
  • Facilitating community activities and social events to foster connections
  • Working with local agencies to coordinate appropriate support
  • Ensuring onsite facilities like guest rooms and laundries are wellmaintained
  • Reporting potential hazards and following up on maintenance issues
  • Managing relationships between customers with diplomacy and respect
  • Responding to emergencies according to established procedures

More about you

Essential:

  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance
  • Basic IT proficiency particularly with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and information systems
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Conflict resolution and mediation abilities
  • Resilience and assertiveness with ability to maintain professional boundaries

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements in residential settings
  • Experience working with older adults or vulnerable populations
  • Experience in supported housing social care or community environments
  • Communitybuilding and social activity coordination skills
  • Patience and empathy with a positive flexible approach to problemsolving

The role is based across two schemes in Bath with occasional visits to our offices for team meetings. While Tuesday and Thursday are fixed days for essential testing were open to discussing how the 30 hours can be worked to best suit you and our customers.

We value transferable skills from various backgrounds whether youve worked in care hospitality community support or other customer service roles your people skills and practical approach could be perfect for this position.
