About the team
The DCCEEW Social Media Team was created in February 2024 and since that time has reached 4.8Mpeople across the state with critical updates on topics such as our transition to Net Zeroand the protection and enhancement of our environment and heritage. A critical role of this inhouse team is ensuring our output is on brand complies with relevant governance modelsand both enhances and protects the departments reputation.
About the role
The Senior Social Media Advisor devises and implements paid media strategies which reach the right audience at the right time helping to educate internal stakeholders on the role of social media as a strategic channel. You ensure content is audiencecentric best in class and adds value to the lives of NSW residents. You will confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels and make evidencebased recommendations around social media activity. You will also play a role in coaching others and a leading role in delivering strong communications outcomes for the department.

Who we are
DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW National Park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
