Business Unit Overview

BlackRock Aladdin is uniquely positioned to address the industrys risk management portfolio construction and financial technology demands. The various business departments within Aladdin are focused on providing clients with highly scalable portfolio analytics risk management liabilitydriven investing pension solutions regulatory advice and balance sheet strategy.

The Aladdin Wealth Tech team partners with wealth management clients to help them oversee their enterprise risk build better portfolios and enhance their value proposition to clients. This is achieved by leveraging risk analytics powered by Aladdin to equip wealth management clients with model construction capabilities risk monitoring tools and portfolio construction & analytics

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the Wealth Management industry while helping to build a growing business within BlackRock.

Position Description

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Relationship Management team servicing our clients across a range of activities including overseeing all aspects of client relationships including governance service and product delivery and evolution. The role also requires strong project management communication and stakeholder management skills. The candidate must build a strong understanding of the clients entire organization and be imbedded into the clients key Decision Makers and Business leaders to drive adoption and growth. As a Relationship Manager you will also be expected to drive opportunities to expand existing relationships build loyalty promote retention and harvest additional assets. The role will evolve over time as the business develops and will be an exciting opportunity for someone who works well in fast moving organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the relationships with client business and technology teams at our clients to support the implementation servicing and adoption of Aladdin Wealth.
  • Understand client objectives business model workflows and market events to effectively drive strategic discussions.
  • Create project plans and partner with our delivery teams to manage the clients change projects from start to completion ensuring they are aligned with the Aladdin Wealth Change Management framework
  • Oversee the servicing for clients and assist in servicing and escalations when they arise.
  • Strategic/consultative engagement on business requirements workflow systems best practice or peer setup.
  • Drive product adoption. Ensure clients are taking full advantage of Aladdin Wealths capabilities.
  • Develop strong relationships with all groups within Aladdin and across BlackRock to ensure an excellent client experience and convey client requirements to product teams as necessary Have a strategic view on the Aladdin Wealth product.
  • Engage with clients/partner teams on enhancements to the Aladdin Wealth Platform.
  • Strong understanding of the wealth management industry key trends and BlackRocks potential role in influencing that direction.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess some combination of all the following:

  • Fluent in English and German French or Spanish
  • Education: undergraduate degree (bachelors degree) business or technical discipline preferred Masters degree a plus
  • Experience: five to ten years of broad technical and/or financial services experience
  • Strong project management and coordination skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Understands business financial and technical terminology including how organizations operate compete profit and grow. Keeps abreast of developments in own field and considers how this knowledge can be applied
  • Technologically aware to be conversant with clients and visualize opportunities. Technology knowledge is important but a deep skillset is not necessary.
  • Strong client management skills: ability to engage client stakeholders to understand and solve their most critical business challenges.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients
  • Experience within the Wealth Management industry is a plus
  • Programming skills (e.g. Python SQL R Linux) are a plus
  • CFA/FRM designation or progressing towards CFA/FRM designation is a plus
