Qualifications:
College hours high school diploma or GED
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficient typing word processing and file maintenance skills
Library experience helpful
Computer knowledge and skills required (Microsoft Office constructing queries troubleshooting)
Ability to work within deadlines and handle frequent interruptions
Physical ability to move books and equipment
Positive and professional attitude
General knowledge of office equipment and procedures
Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed
Primary Purpose:
Assist the library media specialist with supervision and management of the school library media center. Support the services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating evaluating synthesizing and using information empowering them to be proficient lifelong learners. Assist the library media specialist to ensure that the library media center is actively involved in the instructional programs of the campus.

Personal computer typewriter copier and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Ability to maintain a positive attitude under the stress of frequent interruptions multiple tasks deadlines and technical problems/delays. Frequent standing stooping bending kneeling pushing and pulling; prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
