Job Description
The Ferryway School Community:
The Ferryway School is one of the five K8 schools in Malden. We are the home of the FerrywayPhoenix and pride ourselves in teaching the whole child through the lenses of equity and is our mission to provide a safe nurturing and rigorous environment where the whole student learns and grows to his/her maximum potential. Responsibilities:
- Follows the teachers written lesson plans.
- Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.
- Complies with all building procedures and schedules.
- Prepares a written summary of work completed.
- Makes the absent teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered.
- Implements effective pupil management procedures.
- Maintains a positive learning environment.
- Follows all policies rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
Daily building Building Substitute Teachers and all Per Diem Substitute Teachers are nonbenefits addition Per Diem Substitute Teachers are encouraged to apply as well.
Reports to: Building Principal
Salary:
$135/Day Retired Teacher w/ DESE Certification
$125/Day DESE Teaching Certification
$100/Day No Certification
