Description:
Heartland AEA has a fulltime position for the 202526 school year and will have a 192day contract. The assignment will be based in the Amesoffice serving Birth5 in the Ames Boone Ogden and United school districts. The successful applicant will have experience applying principles methods and procedures for an analysis of speech and language comprehension and production to determine communicative competencies of children. The position requires experience with direct service and problem solving assessment and intervention along with collaborative and consultative services related to speech and language development as well as disorders of communication that adversely affect a childs performance. In addition the SLP must be able to build strong collaborative relationships with the LEA parents and community partners.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must be appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (or have the ability to obtain a license) hold a masters degree in speech pathology or communication disorders and possess a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with parents team members administrators and LEA staff.
