The Sr. Management Analyst works in the Business Integrated Solutions Division within VDOTs Central Office located in Richmond VA. This position is responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements for very large and complex systems within VDOT. Candidates applying for this position should have extensive experience in translating the needs of the business into system requirements that can be used by system architects and developers to estimate the cost of and to purchase or build solutions that satisfy those requirements. This position is also responsible for training VDOT employees in how to use Microsofts business enablement Power Suite of tools for creating apps and developing workflows. Qualified candidates will have extensive knowledge of these tools and will have experience in teaching others how to use them. Another area of responsibility is process analysis and improvement. Strong candidates should have experience in mapping and analyzing processes along with using Six Sigma tools to determine root causes of problems and to improve processes. Finally this role works to ensure successful organizational change in the Agency.

Positions physically working within Central Office locations may be designated upon request and coordination among the respective District Engineer or Administrator and Chief. Assignments are updated annually. Not all designated employees are provided an emergency operations assignment.
